The 13th annual Loch Lomond Highland Games and Celtic Gathering was held on October 4th, 2008

Click here to see some pictures.
(If you have any to share from this or previous years, please email the webmasters - thanks!)

Lots of folks tell us that our friendly Gathering is their favorite event of the whole year. Our beautiful site at Highlands Park in Ben Lomond features grassy meadows nestled amongst redwoods and oaks, and the fall weather provides a perfect day to enjoy outdoors.

Please plan to join us in 2010!

Important Announcment:

Our Dear Friends and Supporters,

The Board of Directors of the Loch Lomond Celtic Society has come to the decision to not host the Highland Games and Celtic Gathering in October of this year. Some rainy highland weather and a decrease in festival goers greatly reduced the gate of this last year's Games and we quite simply cannot afford to hold the Games in 2009. Fear not, the Games will return in 2010 with all the good stuff you have come to expect from us.

We are by no means taking the year off; we will spend this year grant writing, soliciting sponsorships and holding fundraisers, the first of which will be the May 23rd Felton Remembers Festival where we will be providing the desserts. Some other plans include several Show and Tell teaching events highlighting many different aspects of Celtic interest, we have some ceilidhs in mind and Celtic Breakfasts -- not your usual pancake breakfast.
We hope that you will be joining us for these gatherings. We plan to have some fun! As events come up, we will be posting them here.

If you would like to help us in the planning and implementation of these events, please let us know. We need and always appreciate our volunteers.

Sincerely,

Rhyli Esser
for the Board of Directors of the Loch Lomond Celtic Society
